3rd and final park of hopeful 5 or 10 park rove. Conditions were not in my favour, oh well.
I got to this park and parked on a nearby side street, expectations were low after the last park, but I was very surprised how nice this park was. Lots of open grass, a few nice big trees and lots of people walking dogs.
One tree had a fence around it so I used that to fasten the mast too. Got the radio on and started called calling CQ on 40 SSB and got a contact, after about 25 minutes and no more contacts I moved to digital.
40 mins later with 11 in the log I called it day for the park and the rove. It was 11:11 and having started at 07:00 in Wetherby and only 3 parks activated I knew it not going to happen today. Oh well there will be other days.
I packed up and went home to warm up and get some lunch.
