After the previous days mammoth walk, I need to get out and stretch my legs a bit.
In the car on the way home from previous days radio and walk M7GAX and myself had mentioned maybe doing this new and local to both of us park.
I parked up at the local Sainsbury’s car park which had 2 hrs free parking so we had a deadline to activate by. M7GAX was there waiting but had come on foot.
We headed over to the park next door and found a suitable location to set up the radio. We were using M7GAX’s Yaseu FT-817 as the day before it had failed and he wanted to test it. He set it up and we got on the air.
Got 18 contacts quickly so we packed up and headed back to M7GAX’s for a warming brew.
