Bit of crap day but not going in to it here. XLY suggested I do something I love and go and activate a park, so did.
If I could get contacts on the right bands I would have completed the James F LePorta (N1CC) Award, which is to activate 10 parks with 10 bands used in each park. A big challenge but I was nearly there.
It’s a nice little park this, sometimes they have sheep grazing so I did not bring the radio hound with me.

I got set up in my usual spot at the highest point and got the mast and EFLW antenna set up. I started on 10 meters as this was the band I needed in this park. Straight in to Poland and then Spain! Great that’s the N1CC activator award done but still need to activate the park. G5LSI called in which was great to work him on 10m. Saw some other UK parks on 20 meters so I thought I would give them a shout and managed to work them. So I kept on 20 and got 27 in total.
This had cheered me up a lot. The XYL was right, she’s amazing.
