G5LSI, M7FPX (and son) to come and activate Sherburn Willow Nature Reserve. This is my local park So I decided to join them and decided to bring the radio hound too, we parked as close to the park as you can and then walked in. The walk in is only about 500 metres so it’s not too far to carry all the kit.
M7FPX got his FT-450d set up with my Sotabeams Bandhopper 3 for 20,30 and 40m. G5LSI was using his IC-7100 and vertical with loaded coil.
Radio hound had a great time as always running round the open space but came back and settled down with us.
We all had a great time and made some good contacts across the EU then packed up and headed back to my QTH for BBQ.
