Away camping with the family in the Peak District for my wife’s birthday, so manged to get some radio in the morning, in the afternoon whilst out walking and in the evening.
In the morning and got the antenna strung up over a handy branch and got radio setup and started with FT8 and had a play through the bands which is easy with a EFLW and a tuner and made a good few contacts across the bands.
We were planning to go for a walk-up Mam Tor and surrounding hills, so I took the Anytone 878 with me try and get some VHF contacts. Made contact with M7DTE/P who was activating Kinder Scout for SOTA and if I had some binoculars with me, I would probably been able to see him! Got 2 more VHF contacts whilst out walking.

After the walk I went back to FT8 on HF and quite a few more contacts.
